I'm not much on posting those sappy "i love you" sentiments on places like facebook or the blog.  But, today is Casey's birthday so I'm making an exception.

In past years, I've attempted to bake a Rum Cake for his birthday but just haven't quite mastered it.  I've never tasted it, but everyone else tells me the rum is too strong.  I'm following my mother-in-laws recipe so I don't know what I'm missing.  Any suggestions?  Maybe it's just one of those things you have to do over and over until you get it just right?  Either way, I'll be making another attempt this year!
