Is anyone else having trouble with Hotmail email?

Ug, I am sick and tired of my Hotmail email!  I usually blame my computer, but I don't know what has happened to MSN email lately.  First, I've had this same email account since, somewhere around 2003.  And almost ten years later it is starting to really get on my nerves!  For whatever reason, the website or email account or whatever you call it is not working propperly.  Half the time I get an error notice telling me it can't connect to Hotmail at this time.  What?  You are Hotmail, and you can't connect with yourself?  I wonder if this is just a sign I need to create a new email and move on?
