The Best Dollar I Ever Spent, and a DIY Red Hat

JT and I headed down to Fort Campbell and Clarksville the other day on a mission to get to Books a Million.  We had to kill some time and found our selves in the Dollar Tree.  I picked up those super cute explorer hats.  Those hats are a hard plastic, not like the flimsy ones I usually find for a buck.  We got them out at home and Patty promptly colored hers red with a dry erase marker.  She also added some artwork to the bedroom door.  Gotta remember to put those markers away.

But, the best dollar I spent that day had to be for the little brush and dust pan.  That's JT demonstrating how great is it for sweeping up legos!  I found that a book or big lego piece works better than the little brush.  I see an end to the lego mess in our near future!  We're going on a big cleaning/purging bend later this week to see what we can part with.

I'm kind of on the fence about yard sales.  They take a lot of work and you have to sit outside all day.  But, I'd really like to get one planned for the first weekend in June.  A nice kick-off to summer, what'd you think?
