Splashin' through the Mud and the Muck
You know, people love to say "boys will be boys". I'm an only child. My husband is not.
When we welcomed our son, JT, I had no idea about the things little boys can get themselves into. Sometimes, they drag their sister's into the mess, too. Here's a few pictures from our weekend.
On the left you can see his handy work in our newly re-drywalled living room. He scooped up some of the mud and used it to adhere a length of seam tape onto the wall. And he pulled it off without anyone catching him. I don't kow where we were when it happened! Luckily, I noticed in time to get it all scrapped off without a problem.
On the right, you'll notice a length of tape across the door knob to the bathroom. He's in love with tape. There's so many things you can do with it! None of which are taping up pretty drawings to the fridge.
Now, that photo in the middle has a little back story. We had met my cousin, Amy, and her family at the city park on Saturday afternoon so I could snap some pictures of her daughter before she headed off to last blast; more to come on that later. As I turned around, I noticed a kid playing with a long stick in the mud and muck surrounding the lake, and my immediate thought was, "Someone needs to go get their kid". And almost as instantly, I realized, "that's MY kid"! Under the watchful eye of his father. Oh, it is true, boys will be boys. Even when they are grown men, apparently!
