Every summer I ask myself, do I have a yard sale or not? I'm a big believer that it's not really cost effective to have a yard sale. And, it's hot to sit out and tend to a yard sale. Plus, you have to price things, and I never know what price to put on things. But, I'm also a big believer that I have stuff I want to be rid of! I mean, who's going to wear those kids clothes now that my kids have out grown them? And I know I have toys stored away that we'll never get any use out of.
We have a storage shed, a garage, and an extra bedroom that need a serious going through. I think we'd be good candidates for that show Clean Sweep. On the show the folks pulled all the stuff out and sorted it into keep and sell piles. Then, they had a yard sale and tons of people came, because it was on tv. I am in serious need of a keep/sell party! I don't think that show is on anymore so we'd probably have to be on Hoarders! Even I admit to having a serious plastic storage bowl problem!
Looks like we may have to spend this weekend hosting our very own Clean Sweep. I see that Dollar General is having one of their $5 off days tomorrow (if you know me from my coupon crazy days, you'll remember how much I love those $5 coupons!) and that means it's a great day to buy storage totes. So, I guess the stars are aligning and telling me that it's time to get a yard sale together. Wish me luck!
