If your kids started a new school, like mine did, you'll also want to log in and update that information on your Box Tops for Education and Scholastic Book Club accounts. It's also a good time to make sure your log ins are working and/or update your password! It was a good thing I checked, because my email address in Box Tops had to be changed, and all of the kids info had disappeared from Scholastic and had to be entered again!
If your child is in elementary school this year, you may want to log into your Meal Pay Plus account and see what your balance is. Meal Pay was the online way to put money into your child's lunch account. Other than the small service fee, I found it very handy last year. Any hoo, this year all elementary kids will be provided a free lunch so you might want to check your accounts for any credit left over from last year. I see that the 40-cent credit in Jt's account has been deducted as a "rollover" and now shows a zero balance....not sure what's going on with that, thankfully it was only 40-cents.
