Only a little over two weeks until election day 2012! I know that sentence has an exclamation mark at the end, but I'm really not overly excited about election day. I guess that's a "mock" exclamation mark! ;-}
Anyhoo, if you're a Hopkins County resident, and you're curious, you can find a PDF copy of the upcoming ballot here. I only get to vote in three sections because I live out in the county and not in the city of anywhere. One less thing to worry about, I guess.
If you want to know what precinct you reside in, you can find info from the county here. I didn't actually find the answer on the website, but it did give me directions to where I could locate the info. So, I then had to dig through my stack of mail until I found the little voter registration postcard I received. The district is highlighted in pink on my postcard.
If you want to know more about the candidates, you can find the Hopkins County Republican website here, and I was only able to find an address/phone number listing for the Democrats here. I spied a couple campaign headquarters lately, too. One on Center St (Madisonville) in the old Foxy's BBQ building, and another in the never opened Mike's Place on 41(Earlington). Sorry, I can't remember which is which.
