Snow's--a-coming this Winter!

We haven't officially passed from Autumn to Winter yet, but I read an article recently that says we should be ready for a lot of snow this year!  The kids will be ecstatic, me, not so much.  I've been sort of researching freezer cooking, and I think I need to get serious about it in case we get snowed in!

I've always heard that really fuzzy caterpillars mean we'll have a bad winter.  But, you know, I can't remember seeing any caterpillars lately!  Guess I will have to head the warning of the seasoned forecasters and be ready.Yikes, the paper says we can expect the first snowfall November 24th (that's my mom's birthday!) with an inch of snow before the first of December.  So, if these folks are right, we can expect snow from late November until early April.  I do not like the sound of five months of snow, do you?

If you're curious about how these predictions are made, watch a video here.
